  • Laid down 3 December 1943 as Patrol Craft Sweeper, PCS-1411 by the Greenport Basin and Construction Co., Greenport, NY
  • Reclassified as an Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper, YMS-458, 26 September 1943
  • Launched 12 February 1944
  • Completed 9 October 1944
  • Commissioned 10 October 1944 under the command of LTJG Albert B. Holland, USNR
  • Decommissioned 1 December 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register 25 February 1947
  • Transferred to the War Shipping Administration 26 September 1947
  • Registered in 1948 to Elmer C. Jakeway, Jr., of Ketchikan, AK as the freighter El Clare out of Ketchikan
  • Registered in 1956 to the Brunswick Navigation Co. of Southpport, NC as the fishing boat John M. Morehead out of Wilmington, NC
  • Acquired in 1967 by Standard Products, Inc. of Kilmarnock, VA for use as a fishing boat
  • Abandoned in 1978.
