YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 21 June 1943 as a Patrol Craft Sweeper, PCS-1433 by the Gibbs Gas Engine Co., Jacksonville, FL
  • Reclassified as an Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper, YMS-465, 27 September 1943
  • Launched 4 January 1944
  • Completed 17 June 1944
  • Transferred to the Soviet Union 8 May 1945 and reclassified T-187
  • Assigned to the Black Sea Fleet 4 August 1945
  • Placed out of service 7 April 1956 and laid up
  • Scrapped 28 January 1958.

  • Length 136'
  • Beam 24' 6"
  • Draft 8'
  • Speed 15 kts.
  • Complement 32
  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts and two depth charge projectors
