YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper: Laid down, 14 June 1943 as PCS-1435 by the Gibbs Gas Engine Co., Jacksonville, FL; Reclassified as an Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper, YMS-467, 27 September 1943; Launched, 22 February 1944; Completed, 4 August 1944; Struck from the Naval Register, 7 February 1947; Sold, 7 November 1947; Sold in 1950 to G. H. Burt and R. N. Cosulich, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, converted to a Barge and named Cosbur; Sold again in 1950 to British Columbia Packers, Ltd., Vancouverz; Sold to the Packers Steamship Co., Ltd. and renamed Cloverleaf; Sold in 1960 to the Northwest Shipping Co., Ltd., Vancouver and renamed Hecate Prince; Sold 7 November 1969 to Compania Naviera Oleron S. A., Panama and renamed Hecate; Renamed Roland in 1982; Disappeared from Lloyd's Register in 1993. Fate unknown.
Specifications: Displacement 320 t.; Length 136'; Beam 24' 6"; Draft 6' 1"; Speed 12 kts; Complement 33; Armament one single 3"/50 gun mount, two 20mm, 2 dcp; Propulsion two 880shp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines (Replaced with two 750bhp Union diesels in 1952, and again replaced in 1954 with two 800bhp eight cylinder Enterprise engines), two shafts.
