YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper:

  • Laid down 30 July 1943 as a Patrol Craft Sweeper, PCS-1437 by the Gibbs Gas Engine Co., Jacksonville, FL
  • Reclassified as an Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper, YMS-469, 27 September 1943
  • Launched 17 March 1944
  • Completed 22 September 1944
  • Transferred to the Soviet Union 30 April 1945 and reclassified T-186
  • Assigned to the Northern Pacific Fleet 28 June 1945
  • Scrapped 11 July 1956.

  • Length 136'
  • Beam 24' 6"
  • Draft 8'
  • Speed 15 kts.
  • Complement 32
  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, two 20mm mounts and two depth charge projectors
