PC-461 Class Submarine Chaser: Laid down, 22 November 1941 by the Defoe Shipbuilding Co., Bay City, MI; Launched, 28 January 1942; Commissioned 30 March 1942. Assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific theater of operations and participated in the Noemfoor Island operation, 2 - 3 July 1944; and the Cape Sansapor operation, 16 - 22 August 1944. Visited Aukland, New Zealand on 21 June and 6 July 1945. Decommissioned, 15 August 1946 at Terminal Island, CA; Sold for scrap, 4 December 1946 to J. C. Berkwit and Co. of New York.

Specifications: Displacement 450 t.; Length 173' 8"; Beam 23'; Draft 10' 10"; Speed 20.2 kts.; Complement 65; Armament one 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, one single 40mm gun mount; three 20mm guns, two rocket launchers, four depth charge projectiles, two depth charge tracks; Propulsion two 2,880bhp General Motors 16-258S diesel engines (Serial No. 6325 and 6326), Farrel-Birmingham single reduction gear, two shafts.
