PC-562 served the Navies of the United States and France.

PC-461 Class Submarine Chaser: Laid down, 13 February 1942 at Jeffersonville Boat and Machine Co., Jeffersonville, IN; Launched, 4 June 1942; Commissioned USS PC-562, 5 August 1942; Decommissioned 30 June 1944 and transferred to France at Oran, Algeria as L'Attentif (W 63); Struck from the Naval Register, 12 February 1953; Sunk as a target by the French Navy.

Specifications: Displacement 280 t.(lt) , 295 t.(fl); Length 175'; Beam 23'; Draft 10' 10"; Speed; 20.2 kts.; Complement 59; Armament one single 3"/50 gun mount, one single 40mm gun mount; three 20mm guns, two rocket launchers, four depth charge projectiles, two depth charge tracks; Propulsion two 2,880bhp General Motors 16-258S diesel engines (Serial No. 6361 and 6362), Farrel-Birmingham reduction gear, two shafts.
