PC-461 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down 13 January 1943 at Commercial Iron Works, Portland, Oregon
  • Launched 12 February 1943
  • Commissioned USS PC-787, 13 November 1943
  • Transferred to the War Shipping Administration in June 1948
  • Transferred to Indonesia in 1960 and named Alu Alu
  • Fate unknown.

  • Propulsion: Two 2,880bhp Hooven-Owen-Rentschler R-99DA diesel engines, Westinghouse reduction gear, two shafts.
