  • Laid down 12 December 1942 by the Consolidated Shipbuilding Corp., Morris Heights, NY
  • Launched 14 February 1943
  • Commissioned USS PC-1201, 11 June 1943
  • Decommissioned 30 July 1946 at Thompkinsville, Staten Island, NY and placed in service as a naval reserve training vessel
  • Placed out of service in 1950
  • Laid up in the Atlantic Reserve Fleet, Boston Group, Boston, MA
  • Named Kittery 15 February 1956
  • Sold for scrap 9 October 1959 to Hughes Brothers, Inc. of New York, NY.

  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, one 40mm gun mount, three 20mm guns, two depth charge projectors, two depth charge tracks and two "Mousetrap" rocket launchers
  • Propulsion: Two 1,440shp Hooven-Owen-Rentschler R-99DA diesel engines, no reduction gears, two shafts.
