  • Laid down 4 August 1943 as PC-1249 by the Nashville Bridge Co., Nashville, TN
  • Launched 6 November 1943
  • Transferred to France 9 February 1944 and named Pique (W 13)
  • Reclassified W-07 in 1948
  • Reclassified P-609 in 1951
  • Reclassified Q-161
  • Decommissioned in December 1958
  • Struck from the Navy Register 21 July 1959
  • Scrapped in 1960 at Bizerte, Tunisia.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 450 t.
  • Length 173' 8"
  • Beam 23'
  • Draft 10' 10"
  • Speed 20.2 kts.
  • Complement 65
  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose mount, one 40mm gun, five 20mm guns, two depth charge projectors, two depth charge tracks and two rocket launchers
  • Propulsion: Two 1,440bhp General Motors 16-278A diesel engines (Serial No. 14255 and 14256), Farrel-Birmingham single reduction gear, two shafts.
