58' Experimental Motor Torpedo Boat:

  • Laid down 12 July 1939 as PT-1 by the Fogal Boat Yard, Miami, FL
  • Launched 16 August 1939
  • Completed 20 November 1941
  • The "Wet Dream" was reclassified as a Small Boat, C-6083, 24 December 1941 and used as a service launch at Newport, RI
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 30 t.
  • Length 58'
  • Speed 30 kts.
  • Armament: Two Mk IV-4 and two .50 cal. machine guns
  • Propulsion: Two 1,2000hp Vimalert gasoline engines (replaced by Packard 4M-2500 engines), two shafts.
