PCS-1376 Class Patrol Craft Sweeper:

  • Laid down 4 April 1943 as PC-1452 but reclassified PCS-1452 later that month by the Tacoma Boat Building Co., Tacoma, WA
  • Launched 28 August 1943
  • Delivered and commissioned 21 February 1944
  • Assigned to the Pacific Fleet and participated in operations at the Marianas, Saipan, Tinian, Iwo Jima and Okinawa
  • Reclassified as a Control Submarine Chaser, PCSC-1452 20 August 1945
  • Struck from the Naval Register 8 May 1946
  • Transferred to the War Shipping Administration in March 1948
  • Acquired in 1950 by the North Shore Packing Co., Ltd. of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
  • Named N.S.P. No. 7 in 1957
  • Acquired in 1958 by the Seymour Navigation Co., Ltd. of North Vancouver
  • Sank 7 December 1959 in Quatsino Sound, British Columbia.

  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose mount, one 40mm gun mount, two 20mm gun mounts, four depth charge projectors, one depth charge projector (hedgehog) and two depth charge tracks
  • Propulsion: Two 800bhp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, Snow and Knobstedt single reduction gear, diesel engines, two shafts.
