Laid down under Maritime Commission Contract, (MC hull 1426) by Kaiser Cargo Inc., Richmond, CA

Launched, 29 September 1943

Commissioned USS Everett (PF-8), 22 January 1944

Decommissioned at Cold Harbor, Alaska, 16 August 1945

Loaned to the Soviet Union 17 August 1945, under the Lend-Lease Program and renamed EK-17

Returned to U.S. custody at Yokosuka, Japan 15 November 1949

Laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet, Yokosuka

Recommissioned at Yokosuka 26 July 1950

Decommissioned, 10 May 1953 at Yokosuka

Transferred on loan to Japan as Kiri (PF 291)

Struck from the Naval Register 1 December 1961

Reclassified as an Auxiliary Stock Craft, YAC-20, 31 March 1970

Decommissioned 1 October 1975

Returned to U.S. custody 22 January 1976 and scrapped.
