Ogden served the Navies of the United States, the Soviet Union and Japan.
Tacoma Class Patrol Frigate: (MC Type T. S2-S2-AQ1) Originally authorized as Patrol Gunboat, PG-147; Redesignated a Patrol Frigate, PF-39, 15 April 1943; Laid down 21 May 1943 under a Maritime Commission contract at Consolidated Steel Corp., Los Angeles, CA.; Launched 23 June 1943; Commissioned USS Ogden (PF-39), 20 December 1943 at San Diego, CA; Decommissioned 12 July 1945 at Cold Harbor, Alaska; Transferred under the Lend-Lease Program to the Soviet Union 13 July 1945 as EK-7; Returned to U.S. custody 15 October 1949 at Yokosuka, Japan; Laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet, Yokosuka; Transferred 14 January 1958 on loan under the Mutual Assistance Program to the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force as Kusu (PF-281); Reclassified as an Auxiliary Service Craft, YAS-50, 31 March 1970; Reclassified as an Auxiliary Stock Craft, YAC-22, 31 March 1971; Decommissioned 1 April 1976; Returned to U.S. custody 28 June 1977. Fate unknown.

(fl); Length 303' 11"; Beam 37' 6"; Draft 13' 8"; Speed 20.3 kts; Complement 214; Armament three 3"/50 dual purpose gun mounts, two twin 40mm gun mounts, nine 20mm gun mounts, two dct, eight dcp, one dcp (hh); Propulsion two 3-drum express boilers, two 5,500ihp J. Hendy Iron Works engines, two shafts.
