Ogden served the Navies of the United States, the Soviet Union and Japan
Tacoma Class Patrol Frigate:

  • (MC Type T. S2-S2-AQ1) Originally authorized as Patrol Gunboat, PG-147
  • Reclassified a Patrol Frigate, PF-39, 15 April 1943
  • The first Ogden was laid down 21 May 1943 under a Maritime Commission contract at Consolidated Steel Corp., Los Angeles, CA.
  • Launched 23 June 1943
  • Commissioned USS Ogden (PF-39), 20 December 1943 at San Diego, CA
  • Decommissioned 12 July 1945 at Cold Harbor, Alaska
  • Transferred under the Lend-Lease Program to the Soviet Union 13 July 1945 and reclassified EK-10
  • Delivered to the Soviet Union at Petropavlovsk, Siberia on 21 July 1945
  • Returned to U.S. custody 15 October 1949 at Yokosuka, Japan
  • Laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet Yokosuka Group
  • Transferred 14 January 1958 on loan under the Mutual Assistance Program to the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force and renamed Kusu (PF-281)
  • Reclassified as an Auxiliary Service Craft, YAS-50, 31 March 1970
  • Reclassified as an Auxiliary Stock Craft, YAC-22, 31 March 1971
  • Decommissioned 1 April 1976
  • Returned to U.S. custody 28 June 1977
  • Fate unknown.
