Gardoqui


Gardoqui served the Navies of Spain and the United States.

Gunboat: Built in 1882 as Gardoqui for the Spanish Navy by the Manila Ship Co., Cavite, Philippines; Acquired by the Navy in 1898; Commissioned USS Gardoqui 2 June 1899; Decommissioned 12 May 1900 at Cavite Navy Yard; Recommissioned 30 November 1900; Decommissioned 5 February 1902 at Cavite; Sold in January 1911. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 61 t.; Length 69' 3"; Beam 12' 7"; Draft 4' 9"; Speed unknown; Complement 13; Armament two 1-pounders; Propulsion vertical compound engine, one shaft.
