  • Laid down in 1863 by Zeno Secor and Co., Jersey City, NJ
  • Launched 9 July 1864
  • Commissioned 23 May 1865 at the New York Navy Yard
  • Decommissioned 29 May 1869 at Mare Island, CA
  • Sold 17 November 1870
  • Fate unknown.

  • Length 255'
  • Beam 35'
  • Draft 9' 6"
  • Speed 13 kts.
  • Complement 190
  • Armament: Two 100-pounder Parrott rifles, four 9" Parrott rifles, two 20-pounder Dahlgren rifles and two 24-pounders
  • Propulsion: Two boilers, one Fulton Iron Works inclined direct-acting steam engine, Side wheeler.
