PGM-44 was built for Burma

PGM-39 Class Motor Gunboat:

  • Laid down in 1959 as PGM-44 by the Marinette Marine Corp., Marinette, WI
  • Transferred to Burma in August 1959 under the Military Assistance Program and reclassified PGM-402
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 110 t.
  • Length 95'
  • Beam 19'
  • Draft 7.5'
  • Speed 17 kts.
  • Complement 17
  • Armament: Two Mk3 40mm mounts, two Mk24 twin 20mm mounts and two .50 cal. machine guns
  • Propulsion: Eight 255bhp General Motors 6-71 diesel engines, two shafts.
