PGM-52 was built for Burma.

PGM-39 Class Motor Gunboat:

  • Laid down 26/28 May 1961 as PGM-52 by the Peterson Builders, Sturgeon Bay, WI
  • Transferred to Burma in June 1961 under the Military Assistance Program and reclassified PGM-406
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 100 t.
  • Length 101'
  • Beam 21'
  • Draft 7.5'
  • Speed 17 kts.
  • Complement 17
  • Armament: One Mk 3 40mm mount, two Mk 24 twin 20mm mounts and two .50 cal. machine guns
  • Propulsion: Eight 255bhp General Motors 6-71 diesel engines, two shafts.
