  • Built in 1926 as the yacht Firenze by Krupp Iron Works, Kiel, Germany
  • Acquired by the Navy 16 March 1942
  • Commissioned USS Girasol (PY 27), 19 March 1942
  • Decommissioned 26 January 1946 at Mare Island, CA
  • Struck from the Navy list in February 1946
  • Transferred 14 July 1947 to the Maritime Commission for disposal
  • Fate unknown.

  • Draft 10' 10"
  • Speed 12 kts.
  • Complement 55
  • Armament: One 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount
