SC-1 Class Submarine Chaser: Built by the Norfolk Navy Yard; Commissioned USS SC-132, 2 February 1918; Sunk 5 June 1918 off Barnegat Light, NJ after a collision with Tacoma (C 18), no casualties.
Specifications: Displacement 85 t; Length 110"; Beam 14' 8.75"; Max Draft (fl) 5' 8"; Speed 18kts; Armament one single 3"/23 gun mount, two .30-cal machine guns, one dcp "Y Gun"; Complement two officers, 25 enlisted; Endurance 1000nm @ 12 kts; Propulsion three 660 hp Standard gasoline engines, three shafts.
