SC-1 Class Submarine Chaser: Laid down in 1918 as SC-403 by the Rocky River Dry Dock Co., Rocky River, OH; Transferred to France as C-97 in 1918. Fate unknown.
Specifications: Displacement 85 t; Length 110"; Beam 14' 8.75"; Max Draft (fl) 5' 8"; Speed 18kts; Armament one single 3"/23 gun mount, two .30 cal. machine guns, one dcp "Y Gun"; Complement two officers, 25 enlisted; Endurance 1000nm @ 12 kts; Propulsion, three Standard 660hp gasoline engines, three screws.
