SC-1 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down by the Camden Anchor-Rockland Machine Co., Camden, ME
  • Commissioned 16 January 1919
  • Grounded twice while assigned to Naval Radio Station Otter Cliffs, Bar Harbor, ME
  • Following her second grounding she was towed to Boston by Chewink (Minesweeper No. 39), where she was found to be too badly damaged to repair
  • Decommissioned and sold 21 April 1920 to the Tamarack Co. of Pawtucket, RI
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 75 t.
  • Length 110"
  • Beam 13' 6"
  • Draft 6' 3"
  • Speed 18 kts.
  • Complement 17
  • Armament: One 3"/23 gun mount, two .30 cal. machine guns, and one depth charge projector "Y Gun"
  • Propulsion: Three 220shp Standard gasoline engines, three shafts.
