SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down 8 December 1941 by American Cruiser, Inc., Trenton, MI
  • Launched 6 June 1942
  • Commissioned USS PC-658, 21 August 1942
  • Reclassified SC-658 in April 1943
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission 30 January 1948
  • Sold to France in 1949 for duty in Indochina (Vietnam)
  • Fate unknown.
