  • Laid down 17 April 1942 as PC-998 by Island Dock Inc., Kingston, NY
  • Launched 13 November 1942
  • Reclassified SC-998 in April 1943
  • Commissioned 1 May 1943 and assigned to Alaskan waters
  • Decommissioned 21 November 1945
  • Struck from the Naval Register 19 December 1945
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission 27 February 1948
  • Acquired in 1948 by De Loy Hudson of San Diego, CA for use as a fishing boat and named Madre
  • Acquired in 1956 by Alvin Kidman of Torrence, CA
  • Acquired in 1963 by Edwin G. Evans of Redondo Beach, CA
  • Out of documentation in 1969
  • Fate unknown.

  • Speed 21 kts.

  • Armament: One 40mm gun mount, two .50 cal. machine guns, two depth charge projector "K Gun," and two depth charge tracks
