SC-1365 served the Navies of the United States and the Soviet Union

SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down 24 April 1943 as PC-1365 by The Peyton Co., Newport Beach, CA and reclassified SC-1365 the same month
  • Launched 29 September 1943
  • Commissioned USS SC-1365, 10 January 1944
  • Transferred to the Soviet Union 17 August 1945 and reclassified BO-329
  • Assigned to the Pacific Fleet 3 September 1945
  • Scrapped 7 October 1955.

  • Displacement 148 t.
  • Length 110' 10"
  • Beam 17'
  • Draft 6' 6"
  • Speed 21 kts.
  • Complement 28
  • Armament: One 40mm gun mount, two .50 cal. machine guns, two depth charge projector "K Gun," two sets Mk 20 Mousetrap rails with four 7.2 projectiles and two depth charge tracks
  • Propulsion: Two 1,540bhp General Motors (Electro-Motive Div.) 16-184A diesel engines, two shafts.
