PC-1512 served the Navies of the United States and the Soviet Union.

SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser: Laid down 27 July 1943 by Perkins and Vaughn, Inc., Wickford, RI; Launched 15 June 1944; Commissioned SC-1512, 26 September 1944; Transferred to the Soviet Union 21 October 1944 as BO-246. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 95 t; Length 110' 10"; Beam 17'; Draft 6' 6"; Speed 21 kts.; Complement 28; Armament one 40mm gun mount, three 20mm mounts, one or two twin mount .50 cal. machine guns, two or three dcp "K Guns", 14 depth charges with six single release chocks, two sets Mk 20 Mousetrap rails with four 7.2 projectiles; Propulsion two 1,540bhp General Motors (Electro-Motive Div.) 16-184A diesel engines, two shafts.
