SC-1630 built for The Netherlands.

SC-1627 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Built under Off Shore Procurement under the terms of the Military Defense Assistance Pact
  • Built to a Netherlands design, similar to American SCs in characteristics but different in appearance
  • Laid down 24 April 1954 by Rijkswerf Willemsoord, The Netherlands
  • Launched 2 October 1954
  • Completed 3 February 1955 transferred to The Netherlands and named Hadda (P 805)
  • Struck from the Navy list in 1986
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 169 t.
  • Length 119'
  • Beam 20'
  • Draft 6.2'
  • Speed 15.5 kts.
  • Complement 27
  • Armament: One 40mm mount, three 20mm mounts, one mousetrap depth charge projector, two depth charge tracks and two "K" gun projectors
  • Propulsion: Diesel, two shafts.
