Momo (SP 49)


Motorboat:

  • Built in 1912 as Elsie IV by New York Yacht, Launch and Engine Co., Morris Heights, NY
  • Renamed Momo
  • Acquired by the Navy 11 July 1917
  • Commissioned USS Momo (SP 49), 17 September 1917
  • Struck from the Navy list 11 February 1919 and returned to her owner
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 16 t.
  • Length 56'
  • Beam 8'
  • Draft 2' 4"
  • Speed 15 kts.
  • Complement: Four
  • Armament: One 1-pounder
  • Propulsion: One 65hp 6-cylinder Twentieth Century gasoline engine, one shaft.
