Ora (SP 75)

Ora served both the U. S. Navy and Department of Agriculture.


Motorboat:

  • Built in 1914 by Samuel Gates, Key West, FL
  • Acquired by the Navy 11 June 1917
  • Commissioned 13 July 1918
  • Transferred 6 December 1920 to the Department of Agriculture
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 75 t.
  • Length 55'
  • Beam 15' 7"
  • Draft 3' 5"
  • Speed 10 kts.
  • Complement six
  • Armament: Two 1-pounders
  • Propulsion: One 100iHP Standard gasoline engine, one shaft.
