Katydid served both the U. S. Navy and Army

  • Built in 1912 by William Hoff, New Rochelle, NY
  • Acquired by the Navy 27 March 1917
  • Commissioned 11 August 1917
  • Laid up 9 December 1919
  • Transferred to the War Department 18 February 1920
  • Fate unknown.

  • Length 40'
  • Beam 9' 2"
  • Draft 3' 4"
  • Speed 10 kts.
  • Complement: Seven
  • Armament: One 1-pounder
  • Propulsion: One 30hp 4-cylinder Sterling gasoline engine, one shaft.
