Crushed 19 October 1918
Motor Boat: Built in 1906 by Smith and Mabely, Astoria, NY; Acquired by the Navy 12 May 1917; Commissioned Simplicity (SP 96), 7 June 1917; Struck and crushed by barge No. 78, 19 October 1918 alongside an Army dock at Fort Wadsworth, NY; Struck from the Navy list the same day.
Specifications: Displacement 21 t.; Length 58' 9"; Beam 10' 6"; Draft 3' 6"; Speed 14 kts.; Complement seven; Armament one 1-pounder and one machine gun.
