Coco (SP 110)


Motorboat:

  • Built in 1917 by the Albany Boat Corp., Albany, NY
  • Acquired by the Navy 23 June 1917 from W. J. Matheson of Cocoanut Grove, FL
  • Commissioned 23 July 1917
  • Struck from the Navy Register 23 June 1919
  • Sold 5 August 1919 but was wrecked in a hurricane on 9 - 10 September 1919, presumably prior to delivery to her new owner.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 6 t.
  • Length 36'
  • Beam 9'
  • Draft 2' 5"
  • Speed 26 kts.
  • Complement: Five
  • Armament: One machine gun
  • Propulsion: One 200hp 6-cylinder Sterling gasoline engine, one shaft.
