  • The second Scout was built in 1900 by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co., Bristol, RI
  • Acquired by the Navy 25 May 1917
  • Commissioned 25 June 1917
  • Returned to her owner 12 December 1917
  • Fate unknown.

  • Length 81'
  • Beam 10' 7"
  • Draft 3' 5"
  • Speed 22 kts.
  • Armament: One 3-pounder
  • Propulsion: One water tube boiler, one Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. triple expansion steam engine, one shaft.
