Taniwha (SP 129)

Patrol Yacht: Built in 1909 by George Lawley and Sons, Neponset, MA; Acquired by the Navy 14 May 1917 and commissioned the same day; Decommissioned 4 April 1919; Returned to her owner in June 1919. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 85 t.; Length 112'; Beam 15' 6"; Draft 6'; Speed 14 kts.; Complement 24; Armament one 6-pounder and two machine guns.
