Jeannette (SP 149)

Jeanette served both the U. S. Navy and Marine Corps.

Motorboat:

  • The second Jeannette was built in 1905 by B. C. Huffstetler, Miami, FL
  • Acquired by the Navy 14 May 1917 and commissioned the same day
  • Decommissioned 7 February 1919 and transferred to the Marine Corps
  • Sold 16 January 1920
  • Fate unknown.

  • Displacement 17 t.
  • Length 49'
  • Beam 13'
  • Draft 4'
  • Speed 9 kts.
  • Armament: Two machine guns.
