Motorboat:

  • Built in 1908 as Tarpon by S. P. Noch, Stamford, CT
  • Renamed Cynthiana II and Wilrose II
  • Acquired by the Navy 3 May 1918 from Robert R. Meyer of Jacksonville, FL
  • Placed in service 8 May 1918
  • Ordered sold 15 November 1919
  • Struck from the Navy list and sold 10 March 1920
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 44 t.
  • Length 75' 6"
  • Beam 17'
  • Draft 4' 1½"
  • Speed 10 kts.
  • Complement: Five
  • Propulsion: Two 60hp 4-cylinder Twentieth Century gasoline engines, two shafts.
