Avis (SP 382)


Motorboat: Built in 1908 by Berger, Manitowoc, WI; Acquired by the Navy 28 July 1917 and commissioned the same day; LAid up in November 1917 at Detroit, MI; Reactivated in May 1918; Struck from the Navy list 15 November 1918 and returned to her owner. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 17 t.; Length 52'; Beam 11' 6"; Draft 4'; Speed 10 kts.; Complement eight; Armament one 1-pounder, one machine gun and
five rifles.
