ex-Vigilant (SP 406)


Motorboat: Built in 1909 as Marguerite II by Henry L. Blatz, Philadelphia, PA; Acquired by the Navy 19 May 1917 and commissioned USS Vigilant (SP 406) at the Philadelphia Navy Yard; Renamed SP-406 in 1918; Decommissioned 24 December 1918 at Philadelphia and returned to her owner. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 41 t.; Length 72'; Beam 14'; Draft 3' 8"; Speed unknown; Complement 14; Armament one 1-pounder, one machine gun and four depth charges.
