Eclipse (SP 417)


Auxiliary Schooner: Built in 1906 by Bishops, Gloucester, MA; Acquired by the Navy 31 August 1917 and commissioned the same day; Returned to her owner, Frank W. Spencer of Savannah, GA 6 January 1919. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement unknown; Length 84'; Beam 19' 11"; Draft 12'; Speed 7 kts.; Complement 14; Armament one 3-pounder; Propulsion sail and auxiliary gasoline engine, one shaft.
