Motorboat:

  • The third Idaho was built in 1907 by Stearns and McKay, Marblehead, Massachusetts
  • Acquired by the Navy 12 July 1917 and commissioned USS Idaho (SP 545) the same day
  • Renamed SP-545 1 April 1918 so as not to be confused with Battleship No. 42
  • Struck from the Navy Register 30 November 1918 and returned to her owner
  • Fate unknown.

  • Length 60'
  • Beam 12' 6"
  • Draft 2' 10"
  • Speed 9.5 kts.
  • Complement 10
  • Armament: One 1-pounder and one machine gun
  • Propulsion: One 32hp 4-cylinder Standard gasoline engine, one shaft.
