Wild Goose (SP 562)
Wild Goose served both the U. S. Navy and the city of Norfolk, VA.
Steamer: Built in 1913 by the Gas Engine and Power Co. and the Charles L. Seabury Co., Morris Heights, NY; Acquired by the Navy 21 April 1917; Commissioned 25 June 1917; Loaned to the City of Norfolk, VA 21 June 1920; Returned to U.S. Navy custody 24 August 1920 and placed on the sale list; Sold 17 November 1920. Fate unknown.
Specifications: Displacement unknown; Length 60'; Beam 10'; Draft 2' 6"; Speed 19 kts.; Complement unknown; Armament one 1-pounder.
