Steam Launch:

  • The second Mist was built in 1904 by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co., Bristol, RI
  • Commissioned 28 April 1917 at Boston, MA
  • Delivered to the Navy 12 May 1917
  • Returned to her owner 3 February 1919
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 13 t.
  • Length 59'
  • Beam 8' 6"
  • Draft 2' 6"
  • Speed 12 kts.
  • Complement 11
  • Armament: Two machine guns
  • Propulsion: One single ended boiler, one 150hp vertical triple expansion steam engine, one shaft.
