Motorboat:

  • Built in 1909 by George Lawley and Sons, Neponset, MA
  • Acquired by the Navy 27 April 1917 from Howard B. Daniels of Acton, MA
  • Commissioned USS Fearless (SP 598), 3 October 1917
  • Renamed SP-598 11 April 1918 to avoid confusion with Fearless (SP 724)
  • Struck from the Navy Register 3 December 1918 and returned to her owner
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 15 t.
  • Length 53'
  • Beam 8' 6"
  • Draft 3' 3"
  • Speed 13 kts.
  • Complement: Seven
  • Propulsion: One 80hp 6-cylinder Buffalo gasoline engine, one shaft.
