Calypso (SP 632)

Calypso served both the U. S. Navy and the Department of Commerce

Motorboat:

  • The second Calypso was built in 1909 at Morris Heights, NY
  • Acquired by the Navy in June 1917
  • Commissioned in July 1917
  • Performed section patrol duties in northeastern U.S. waters
  • Transferred in September 1919 to the Bureau of Fisheries
  • Fate unknown.
