  • Built in 1906 by the New York Yacht, Launch and Engine Co., Morris Heights, New York
  • Leased to the Navy 21 June 1917 from James E. Porter, Chicago, IL
  • Commissioned USS Hippocampus (SP 654), 25 June 1917
  • Decommissioned 30 November 1918 and struck from the Navy Register
  • Returned to her owner 5 April 1919
  • Registered in 1948 to Arthur E. Ladd of Castine, ME as the passenger vessel Hippocampus
  • Fate unknown.
