Luce Bros. (SP 846)


Menhaden Fisherman: Built in 1887 by the Alberton and Douglas Machine Co., New London, CT; Rebuilt in 1912/1913; Acquired by the Navy 3 May 1917; Commissioned 9 August 1917 at Berkley, VA; Decommissioned 24 January 1919 at Norfolk, VA; Returned to her owner 28 March 1919. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 67 t.; Length 122'; Beam 19' 6"; Draft 12'; Speed 11 kts.; Complement 26; Armament none.
