Motorboat:

  • Built in 1917 by the Great Lakes Boat Building Corp., Milwaukee, WI
  • Acquired by the Navy 10 June 1917 from Ralph K. Trix of Detroit, MI
  • Commissioned USS Marguerite II (SP-892), 23 June 1917
  • Renamed SP-892 in April 1918 to avoid confusion with Marguerite (SP 193)
  • Struck from the Navy list 7 March 1919 and returned to her owner
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Length 40'
  • Beam 9' 6"
  • Draft 2' 10"
  • Speed 17 kts.
  • Complement: Nine
  • Propulsion: One 125hp 6-cylinder Van Blerck gasoline engine, one shaft.
