Motorboat:

  • Built in 1917 as Yard No. 212 by Julius Peterson, Nyack, NY
  • Renamed Yank
  • Acquired by the Navy 8 October 1917
  • Commissioned USS Yank (SP 908), 10 October 1917
  • Struck from the Navy list and returned to her owner 14 February 1919
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Length 60' 1½"
  • Beam 10'
  • Draft 2' 9"
  • Speed 18 kts.
  • Complement 10
  • Armament: One 1-pounder and one .30 cal. machine gun
  • Propulsion: Two 110hp 6-cylinder Sterling Model FM gasoline engines, two shafts.
