  • The second Thistle was built in 1907 by the New York Yacht, Launch and Engine Co., Morris Heights, NY
  • Acquired by the Navy 17 August 1917
  • Delivered 11 September 1917
  • Commissioned 26 December 1917
  • Struck from the Navy list 5 July 1918
  • Returned to her owner 6 July 1918
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 41 t.
  • Length 70'
  • Beam 12'
  • Draft 4'
  • Speed 11.3 kts.
  • Complement 10
  • Armament: one 3-pounder and one 1-pounder
  • Propulsion: One 50hp 4-cylinder 20th Century gasoline engine, one shaft.
