Vitesse (SP 1192)


Motorboat: Built in 1917 by the Greenport Basin and Construction Co., Greenport, Long Island, NY; Acquired by the Navy in July 1917; Commissioned 18 July 1917 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Philadelphia, PA; Decommissioned 3 December 1918 at Philadelphia, struck from the Navy list and returned to her owner. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 18 t.; Length 60'; Beam 10'; Draft 3'; Speed 22 kts.; Complement seven; Armament one 3-pounder and one Colt machine gun.
