Daisy Archer (SP 1283)


Schooner/Motorboat:

  • Built in 1894 at Whitehaven, MD
  • was a schooner of the Maryland State Fisheries Force converted at some time before 1917 into a motorboat
  • Acquired by the Navy in 1917 and placed in service as USS Daisy Archer (SP 1283)
  • Struck from the Navy list 24 September 1918
  • Returned to her owner 27 November 1918 and sold
  • Registered in 1933 to W. A. Everett of Edenton, NC as the freighter Francis Harrington
  • Fate unknown.
